1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using PC Notepad, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
PC Notepad is a browser-based note editor for writing, formatting, saving, locking, and exporting notes. The tool is designed to run primarily on your device through your web browser.
Some features, including optional password protection and export, run client-side. We do not host your notes on a server.
3. Local Storage and Backups
Notes are stored in your browser storage on the device you use. Browser clearing, device resets, private browsing, app uninstall actions, or browser profile changes may remove saved notes.
You are responsible for keeping backups of important notes. Use export options such as TXT, DOCX, or PDF if you need a permanent copy outside the browser.
4. Acceptable Use
- Do not use the Service for illegal activities.
- Do not attempt to disrupt, overload, reverse engineer, or interfere with the Service.
- Respect intellectual property, privacy, and legal rights of others.
- Do not use PC Notepad to store or distribute harmful content.
5. User Content and Responsibility
You are responsible for the content you create, paste, edit, export, or store in your browser. PC Notepad does not review your note content because note content is not uploaded to our server.
If you enable password lock, remember your password. We cannot recover encrypted notes or reset your password.
6. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how PC Notepad handles local storage, analytics, encryption, and your choices. By using the Service, you also agree to the Privacy Policy.
7. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided on an AS IS and AS AVAILABLE basis, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, PC Notepad and its contributors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, resulting from your use of or inability to use the Service.
9. Changes to the Service
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service in whole or in part at any time. We may also update features, interface behavior, export options, offline behavior, or browser support over time.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the Last updated date above. Continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
