Private browser-based writing tools

About PC Notepad

PC Notepad is a fast, distraction-free online notepad and private text tools workspace that opens directly in your browser. It is made for quick ideas, drafts, checklists, longer notes, and writing analysis on both desktop and mobile.

The goal is simple: give you a reliable writing space and practical text utilities that open quickly, run locally, and keep your content away from our servers.

Notes stay on your device

PC Notepad does not provide cloud sync and does not upload note content to a server. Your saved notes are stored in the browser on the device you use.

What it offers

A practical workspace for notes and text tools

Local autosave

Notes are saved in your browser storage so the page can reload your work.

Offline support

After the first visit, the app can continue working offline as a PWA.

Password lock

Optional browser-side AES-GCM encryption helps protect private notes.

Export options

Download important notes as TXT, DOCX, or PDF when you need a backup.

Focused writing

Markdown preview, formatting controls, and a quiet editor-first layout.

PC and mobile

The editor is designed for large desktop screens and modern mobile browsers.

Built around a few clear principles

Privacy-first: your notes stay on your device unless you export or share them.

No friction: open the site and start typing without sign-up.

Reliability: local autosave and offline support help protect your work.

Clarity: the interface stays focused on writing instead of clutter.

How we test updates

Before shipping interface and feature changes, the main notepad and text-tool workflows are checked across the actions people depend on most.

Typing, editing, undo, redo, and formatting controls
Local autosave and reload recovery
TXT, DOCX, and PDF export behavior
Password lock and encrypted note recovery flow
Desktop and mobile layout checks
Offline install behavior after the first visit

Technology

Browser tools, not server storage

PC Notepad uses Next.js App Router, Tailwind CSS, and a small client-side state store. Note editing, word counting, report generation, and encryption run in your browser. A service worker powers the offline experience.

For important notes, export your own backup. Because the app is local-first, browser data clearing or device changes can remove saved notes from that device.

Built by Mozammel Hoshen Chowdhury

PC Notepad is created by Mozammel Hoshen Chowdhury, a software developer focused on practical, privacy-first browser tools. The goal is to keep common writing and text utilities fast, simple, and usable without forcing users to create an account.

Product updates are checked around real workflows such as writing notes, counting words, converting text case, exporting files, and keeping content on the user's own device.
