About PC Notepad
PC Notepad is a fast, distraction-free online notepad and private text tools workspace that opens directly in your browser. It is made for quick ideas, drafts, checklists, longer notes, writing analysis, cloud-backed notes, and shareable text on both desktop and mobile.
The goal is simple: give you a reliable writing space that starts instantly without login, keeps local notes on your device by default, and lets you choose account sync or share links only when you need them.
Local-first, cloud when you choose it
PC Notepad starts with browser storage, so you can write without an account. If you sign in, cloud sync and share management can store synced or shared notes in your account.

Privacy-first: local notes stay on your device unless you export, sync, or share them.
No friction: open the site and start typing without sign-up.
Reliability: local autosave and offline support help protect your work.
Clarity: the interface stays focused on writing instead of clutter.
How we test updates
Before shipping interface and feature changes, the main notepad and text-tool workflows are checked across the actions people depend on most.
Technology
Browser tools with optional backend features
PC Notepad uses Next.js App Router, Tailwind CSS, PostgreSQL-backed account features, and a client-side editor state store. Note editing, word counting, text cleanup, local autosave, and password lock run in your browser. Account sync and share links use backend APIs when you choose those features.
For important notes, export your own backup. Because the app is local-first by default, browser data clearing or device changes can remove unsynced saved notes from that device.
PC Notepad is created by Mozammel Hoshen Chowdhury, a software developer focused on practical, privacy-first browser tools. The goal is to keep common writing and text utilities fast, simple, and usable without forcing users to create an account.
Product updates are checked around real workflows such as writing notes, syncing notes, creating share links, editing shared notes, counting words, converting text case, exporting files, and keeping local content under the user's control.
